Any time you brag on your position, how much money you make, where you live and what you drive, it is a clear sign of hidden insecurity. It shows that there is an area of your life where you feel inadequate and you feel the need to pump yourself up to others and yourself in order to prove your value. Though God wants you to feel good about yourself, He does not want you to be so impressed with yourself that you stop looking for areas in your life that need improvement. In fact, there are so many areas that need improvement that you don't have time to brag on what you think is good. Remember, when you brag too much, you are stealing God's glory and He will not allow you to compete with Him without consequences. Proverbs 27:2 (NLT), "Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth— a stranger, not your own lips." When you're really good, God will allow other people to sing your praises for you. God bless!
