Yes, there are hypocrites, liars, cheaters, and deceptive people in the church. However, that is not the reason that you don't go. One of the reasons that you don't go to church is because you find out that you too are a hypocrite, liar, cheater, and you deceive people yourself. It's much easier to call others out on their issues than to look at yourself in the mirror and admit that you are just as flawed. God simply wants you to know that in spite of your flaws, He still loves and has a much bigger plan for your life. If for no other reason, find a church where you can learn to be more like Christ so that you can be at peace with God, yourself, and others. Stop making excuses. Just like you can search for that outfit, those shoes, and that house when you want them, you can also search for a church home. Let God lead you. God bless!
