Devotional 5/22/20
God lets you choose. God is love and because He is love, He never forces you to do things His way. He tells you what you should do and tells you the consequences or rewards based on the decision you make. God's Word is very clear on certain things, but He will allow you to make whatever decision you want to make because love never forces anyone to do anything. So...if you want to have an abortion, that's your choice. If you want to get drunk, it's your choice. If you want to live a lifestyle that is outside of God's will, it's your choice. If you want to disrespect your parents, your choice. Just remember, you will have to live with the consequences that come along with the choice you make. And... don't blame the consequences on God, all He did was give you the choice, you have to make the decision. Joshua 24:15 (KJV), "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
