Devotional 5/21/20
Look at the life patterns of the people in your family and decide if that's the path you want to take. You have an opportunity right now to change the course of your immediate family's history. All it takes is one person to get in the will of God, get off of drugs, avoid jail, avoid teenage pregnancy, stop making excuses, marry the right person, be the right person, live healthy, go to college, go to the military, or start a family business. Even if you've made mistakes, God has forgiven you and will give you the power to change your destiny. God doesn't want you to keep a defeated mindset. The hardest part is making a decision to change. You owe this to your future grandchildren. As you move toward God's will, watch how He opens doors and provides for you as you go. You may need to get away from certain negative influences in order to move forward. There's nothing you can do about your past, but you sure can make things better in the present and future.
