Devotional 10/21/20

10.21.20 | Love | by Rev. Norman Thomas Jr.

Before you react, make sure that you are not just in your feelings. Sometimes we confront people based on something that we perceive and our feelings may be totally off. This is where a wise and spiritual friend comes in handy. You need to go to them, tell them what you're thinking and feeling, and if you're not in the right frame of mind, they will detect it in their spirit, and hopefully talk some sense into your spirit. Without wise counsel, your feelings will have you go off on your boss, snap on your spouse, scream at your children and leave somewhere that God did not tell you to leave. You will end up crying next to an empty space in your bed, without a job, in a messed up relationship with your children, and regretting that you left something good behind. Don't let your feelings mislead you, always get a second opinion from a wise friend. God bless!
