If you have not developed a relationship with your boss or supervisor, it is unfair to assume that they will recommend you for a higher position when the time comes. Yes, good work speaks for itself, but if you don't speak to them, act arrogantly toward them or only go to them when you need something, don't be surprised if you don't get what you desire. The same is true with God. You can't expect God to give you anything when you only go to Him for selfish reasons. It's not kissing up, it's called relationship development. The stronger the relationship, the more favor you get. Pray about it. God bless!
