In 2008, during the 114th year of our church, God led Rev. Norman H. Thomas, Jr. to First Baptist Church, and he was elected by the members of First Baptist Church to serve as their pastor. On Sunday, January 11, 2009, Rev. Thomas and the First Baptist Church family embarked on the union between pastor and church. He was installed on Sunday, March 8, 2009. Under his leadership, renovations have been made; the church membership has grown; Children's Church has been organized and renders ministry to children on Sundays, various ministries have been revitalized, and new ministries have been established. We praise God for the Angel He has placed in this house to continue to lead and serve His people. Pastor Thomas' prayer is that each member will "Catch on Fire" and maintain the spiritual standards of our forefathers; continue their great works and move forward with a revitalized spirit and a firm commitment to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!!!
